Malta Balashi is Aruba’s favorite nutritional non-alcoholic beverage, loved by children and adults alike. From the breakfast table to the playground, from family outings to youth sporting events, Malta Balashi is an iconic, cherished beverage.
The concept of Malta originates from Germany where it is known as Malzbier or Kinderbier, as it was a beer for children with no alcohol.
Originally it was a dark, malty drink created by stopping the fermentation process to prevent the formation of alcohol.
Today’s refreshing Malta beverages are produced in many countries in the Caribbean, Africa, and the Indian Ocean region.
Malta Balashi is the preference here in Aruba, both for its taste and that it’s brewed locally for our community.
